    Hello all,

I did a little searching and didnt come across anything tuning related. Theres probably something somewhere, just didnt see it with the search feature.

I just finished assembling my turbo kit on my 97 2rz. Im getting a Link Monsoon ECU setup installed by my local shop right now. Theyre going to get it setup with a "start-up" tune but Im going to need to tune the rest myself.

Im hoping to find someone willing to share a tune with me so I can get a ballpark starting place for the spark map.

My setup is an intercooled 3071, 750cc injectors, 340lph pump, etc. Not that all that matters a whole lot, I just need a conservative spark map to get myself tuning when the truck gets back.

    Please/thank you!

My buddy and I are just now finishing a 2RZ for his pickup but we use Haltech ECUs. I have some Haltech maps for 2/3RZ but I don't think they'd help you much unfortunately.

    Appreciate it man!

Actually though, if at all possible even just screenshots of the ignition map would give me something to go off of. I could just type em in manually to get it going. The more conservative the better lol that build you have going there looks pretty mean!

Sure, this is one for a 3RZ, I'd just knock 2* out of it overall to start, maybe do 3* if you wanted to be super safe.

Was able to get in touch with a guy whos tuned a few.

Disclaimer to anyone reading, a map like this is not one size fits all, you will need to configure past just this to work for your own engine and application. Should be helpful to BEGIN tuning however.

This looks like a pretty dialed in tune from what I've seen. Looking specifically at the 100kpa, 2300RPM, it's about RPM/100 = 23* and follows up through the RPMs pretty much consistently, and then reduces significantly with boost (obviously), which is what I've noticed as a pattern. This one though is still at 9* at 33PSI... so I would hope it has a lot of conditional (temp/fuel based) retardings happening.

Right, fairly certain Ill never see that part of the map. Not sure what kind of manifold pressures Ill be seeing but with only an 8lb spring in the waste gate for now I would doubt I get anywhere near there lol. Hopefully.

I feel that. All the old forums I used to frequent have died. The 2rz/3rz turbo page on FB is pretty active and helpful as well but nothing will ever be the same as the golden forum days of the early 00's

Totally random thing I noticed but you probably don't want your fuel pressure regulator to get its vacuum source from the nipple on top of the TB since that could be subject to different pressures when not in boost.

I believe that was the stock spot for it but with boost now, youre probably right. I wonder where I should send it.

The two other VC hoses that are going to IM and TB are going to go to a catch can when it gets home from the shop.

I guess with the 8psi spring in there it shouldnt hopefully upset any thing too detrimentally until I can think of something better.

Yeah stock the FPR goes before the TB, usually boosted though you want it to stay 1:1 with manifold pressure post throttle blade (which all of the ports on top are before the blade) and FuelTech should have an option or checkbox to say that you're doing that in it somewhere.

Oh I spose, it was probably in the intake pipe.

I thought that the last tb nipple closest to the intake manifold is behind the throttle blade. I could be wrong but most of what I found stated it was behind it. If it's not I'm going to need to get a T for my onboard map sensor for the Link I'm currently configuring. Kevin, found this thread doing research on Link tuning and decided I'd finally join here. I'm in the beginning stages of setup as well, just installed and unlocked in PC Link. If you need a knowledgeable guy when it comes to tuning, KO Racing knows their stuff. He does remote tuning as well. Will be having him dyno tune since I'm local to him once I have my 650 injectors and a larger pump.
