Stock (99.999%) OEM Bed Floor Mat, Front Bed Rail Cargo Net and hooks, Auto-Dim mirror w/Compass and outside Temperature display, TRD Pro Grille, Uni-Filter air pump modification, WeatherTech floor liners f/r. (winter) OEM All-Weather floor mats (summer).
Must be nice. That will be fine/all good until the head gasket fails or the third auto transmission firmware update ralphs' and won't shift down from 8th to 3rd, or the new turbo blows an artery. Wait for the 2025. (2027?) :proposetoast::pray:

    I have 2nd gen 4.0L automatic. I think I'll keep her.

My default or stock tank has this feature. The last Toyota, our Subarus and VW can all do a to cabin and mountain biking near with one tank. Now having to stop and fill up an hour from home helps keep me alert and adds to Apple Watch health data.

I was about to lecture OP about EPA and CARB certification, and throw the BS flag at him. Then I read the last line.

Okay hopefully it's not just me confused here. Is this actually about a larger OEM fuel tank option or the extra three gallons when you get to empty?

I swear every Gen2 and Gen3 did the same thing. 1/4 to 4/4 was 0-80%, while it always showed F between 80-100%

If the indicator shows 7/8, I would guess there to be 18.2gal * 70% = 12.7gal left (5.4gal used) ... with your indicator showing slightly more fuel, so 5gal used looks right vs Toyota's dumb fuel gauge.

Neither, it's a joke based on the fuel gauge being inaccurate.
May have been the known issue where the fuel gauge shows very little fuel usage under certain conditions and needs to be reset.
