Because they're not cheap, when I did ones for my wife's truck a couple years ago, I ran a cable through them and padlocked it to a tie-down.
They are great for stopping the groceries from sliding all over.
Bungee cord just keeps items from flying out.

The turn-buckle in this photo (hard to see) is to adjust the cable length:

    Yeah.
Worked out a way to get functional mud flaps with a high-clearance rear bumper. Had some cheap ones and thought maybe RockBlokz would provide a better option, but they use OEM mounting points. Mounting points with the aftermarket bumper angle the flap on the passenger side back so far it interferes with the exhaust (and I'm not to the point of chopping it to dump over the axle -- yet, I guess). Got some of that steel bar stock and used some existing holes and a new one I drilled on the bumper side brace to make a mounting point. Started with just 2 spots, but it seemed too floppy so added a third point since everyone knows triangles are strong.

    Passenger side mounts.

    Driver's side mounts.
    upload_2024-9-9_18-29-29.jpg

But, the new mounting points left the OEM mounting holes in the RockBlokz that I didn't like, so I cut pieces of the cheap ones and epoxied them over the holes. Drilled new holes for new mounting points.
    upload_2024-9-9_18-31-28.jpg

So now I have functional mud flaps again that won't melt on the exhaust!

Drove the truck on 3 Province road trip in July. Truck was stellar. About 5,000 mile return.

Ouch. I hear you. Green with envy. Once, buying sliders off a member, he was on 33’s with a 3” lift. I was like damn, how is this truck so much bigger? And the tuner had 32” tires, I was jealous, and upset of my jealousy. I have 265/75/16. Which are 31.65”. So now I wait for my new tires to show up, I have a 2ish inch lift going already.

Purchased Toyota Certified, with Vijay bumpers, additional lights, and Falken Wildpeaks on Fuel rims. Prev owner apparently painted the grill.
If that was the case, I would say thank you for ridding us of the bug problem - but I'm guessing it didn't even make a dent in the population - but it looks like they may have made a dent in the front of the hood and the grill!

I would think it's fine for either end of the truck.

Unless you’re trying to balance the entire truck on it you should be good.
