the 2nd gen is gone it had trans problems so i did what a lot of others said and did a drain and fill to see the condition of the oil and it had a lot of metal chunks and shavings so the truck was traded off. i didnt post it in here since its not relevant to anything in here.

meh i tried liking a 2017 tundra that was super mint but i just couldnt like it... the truck was nice but there was just nothing about it that i overall liked other then the 5.7... i went to a nissan dealer to drive a frontier and titan to see if id like them more which i did like the frontier but the titan not so much... they had a used f150 on the lot and decided to give it a go and fell for it so now i have it.

fair lol. hopefully this one stays around getting tired of swapping things around after i get it setup how i want lol

tbh i really liked my red truck but it started acting up and was trying to figure it out but once i found the issue it was going to be a lot of cash to get it rebuilt and it would be gone for a good while or take a gamble on a used trans from a totaled truck so not worth it in the end for me. i would like another tacoma but a first gen that can be more of a toy unless by that time 2nd gens drop in price like crazy haha!

 

Should have got an 18+ when they did the updates. 20-21 are the best years.

it was mainly i didnt like how it sat or how it drove? overall we liked the truck but i just didnt like driving it i felt so awkward in the truck.

plus the 17 we drove had 40k miles and was super super clean for 30k so it caught my interest.

 

lol i guess so. well its a 2017 f150 2.7 eco boost 4x4 in i think lighting blue is what they call it? its a very nice truck one owner with a lot of records

nope the shops i went to it was 4500 for a trans rebuild and it would be months for the truck. its my only vehicle so its not something i can do nor do i trust a rebuilt trans in my daily driver and tow rig.

agreed no nannies lol. overall the interior was great and we liked it but we didnt like driving it or moving it around it felt tbh fat af lol

 

DRCC is nice though for road trips as is LDA

 

$4500? Aamco does better than that. 2 week turn around, unless parts are backordered lol.

2.7L.... smaller than a 3rd gen Taco engine

yup 4500 is what i was quoted at a few shops. as stated im also not a fan of a rebuilt trans in my daily lol

a bit yes lol 2.7l v6 but with more power and torque then a 3rd gen can dream about. i did look for a 3.5tt but couldnt find one in the cab/ bed configuration i was wanting and price.

i did actually look at a 2020 manual offroad tacoma it wasnt bad but its still just a tacoma and cant tow more like im wanting to be able to now days so needed a bit larger of a truck.

 

Next truck calamity is getting will be a f450 diesel

 

i actually did try and find an f250 ext cab long bed lmao but couldnt find one for a price and miles i could justify tbh

 

3.5L ecoturd has the shelf life of dollar store bologna

 

ive seen multiple last well over 200k... so ya not gonna trust you on that one..
