I heard that, absolutely wild. I feel like it's either going to be a mad rush to use my pass at the end of the season or my pass doesn't get used at all unless I ride out of state.

Hopefully yesterday was the last day of the spring corn cycle for awhile and these next few day get things filled in a bit more. That said, the eastern facing slopes were money yesterday morning.

My plan is to wash the truck this afternoon if I have time after skiing with my daughter for her 7th b-day.

Got abt 35k feet of powder riding in on Sunday Monday

buried chest deep in soft stuff on the backside of northstar cus “flatstar”

still rather go to northstar than heavenly and sit there while 80% of the mountain is on wind hold

Been debating epic or ikon. Kirkwoods way farther than palisades for if I want big mountain type riding. And palisades still has good groomers like heavenly would. And idgaf abt park at northstar. Then I see this …

    IMG_6073.png

    Ikon it is

especially since I’m thinking a graduation celebration trip to mammoth is necessary

Damn, that looks pretty close to Slide Mountain. People in Inline are getting nervous.

My theory is Sierra went on ikon because they needed the investment/support after having to rebuild 2 lifts + being closed one season after the fire

I'm not sure they ever really recovered from the days when Booth Creek managed Northstar too and the mountains shared a pass.

    ...too much shit to list.
Here’s what it looks like when you get closer. The wind is going the opposite direction so I’m pretty confident the firefighters can keep the fire out of Mt. Rose for the most part. Still sketchy AF though.

If it did hit rose I feel like they’d be bought out within a few years while trying to get everything back up and running

I saw some posts on Reddit from some nat guard guys and they were voicing their frustration with how nevadas emergency response is setup. He explained that the guard is the lowest $ cost per hour of work of all those departments and they’re the last group to get the call to go out. Explaining why it took them 3 days to even get to start helping. Was sort of interesting.

At one point also saw this last night so decided to not go down to southlake today to rideIMG_6093.jpgStill pretty close to 395 as of 10 PM
