    I have a 2018 TRD Off-road.
The only thing I pull is a side by side and it squats very bad. What’s the best way to stop this?
    Thanks

More than one way to tackle it- airbags, add a leaf, or a whole new leaf pack.
If it’s just to tow, and you’re not interested in lifting, I’d lean to airbags, since they can be inflated and adjusted when loaded,, then deflated to return the suspension to OE specs.

Helper springs that replace the stock bump stops can help and are easy to install.

Grab a tree, hang your butt out, and let it rip.

On a more serious note, the suspension compressing when there is weight on it is normal. That’s how springs work. The more weight on them, the more they compress.

Do you have any numbers to help us? How much weight? How much squat?

Make sure the trailer is carrying the weight, and not your truck. The tongue weight (weight on your hitch) should be 10-15% of the trailer weight.

Assuming this isn't like a 5000 lb setup, you're likely just putting the side by side too far forward on the trailer.

My camper also made the truck squat. It doesn't take much tongue weight to do it.

I started out with roadmaster active suspension (helper springs); they were great for towing, but not so fun when going off pavement. I am currently on an add-a-leaf set, but am likely looking to just bite the bullet already and do a full leaf pack replacement soon.

A few, mainly added skids. I like leaving the suspension alone. I drive forest service dirt roafs in the desert west extremely extremely too fast. Toyota nailed this suspension going 65 across desert terrain. Changing it is dumb unless you have a specific need like crawling or mud.
I had these on my g2 Taco. It made the rear end unbearably stiff. It would literally come complete on the ground going over a speed bump at like 8 miles an hour..

Road Active Suspension worked very good on my last Tundra. I haven’t tried them on a Tacoma…..yet.

You most likely got the wrong set. At least for Sumo springs, they come in 3 different spring rates. I know the Timbrens can be harsh.
