Anyone else have an issue with their 2024’s wipers staying on? When I used the windshield washer, they wouldn’t turn off after what is normally the spray&wipe cycle. I had to shut the truck off and restart it. Now everything is normal.

I've heard of wipers being affected by other systems on other models, but not this.

Next time it happens, video the wipers going and show your hand canceling them in a video, it will help Toyota create a case file and possibly help others later on.

Also have had the vehicle stop suddenly on our long gravel driveway as if I was about to hit something. Was only driving 10km/h. Now I’m wondering if this will happen at 110km/h! Sensor was clean at the time.

This sounds like something that belongs on a 1987 Sterling 825 owners forum, but then a lot of the random bugs that many early ‘24 owners are posting lately are almost hard to believe.

Hopefully it’s a non-recurring, on-off issue, and not early signs of lemon syndrome. Good luck getting it sorted out.

Thanks. I do love this truck and if this is as bad as it gets, it’s still a super great vehicle to drive! I’ll be checking trans tsb details today just in case. Like a warm blanket I’m thinking Toyota will always look after us :)
