I always feel bad when I turn around in someone's driveway. I'm looking at the house thinking I'm gonna get shot

 

Ive done this couple times...turn down wrong road and some one is on my bumper, go to turn into a driveway to turn around and its the person on my bumpers house

 

Cole and I saw a guy we know a couple months ago and we decided to go by his house. We were in my Civic with Virginia tags and he had no idea who it was. We pull in his long concrete driveway, ahead of him. We pull up to his house, he stops about 100' short. I know he's got at least 1 gun in the truck so I tell Cole we getting out so he knows who it is

Sure enough, when he realized who it was he pulled up and said he didn't know who it was

 

Gas is under $3 a gallon for the first time in years here, almost like they know an election is coming up....

 

I filled up for $2.84 this morning.

Amazing the timing that it came down.

With my kid working at a place that has military contracts, I told him don't even text me anything about what he's working on. Just in case.

I'm off this weekend but my guys are supporting fueling of this satellite Europa Clipper headed to Jupiter's moons, blah blah but they have a viewing window outside the clean room and there's a huge sign "NO SELFIES" because that's where we're at as a society

 

A guy I know had a good job at a major airport fire department and lost it because of "social media policy"

 

*Explanation for my vote about neighbors.

Not all are bad, just the abutter who is asserting a Right of Way over my driveway after us owning the property for more than 20 years.

 

Today's project, aside from glaring at the neighbors truck.. is cleaning up the old girl for a couple car shows in the next few weeks. Got her washed, waxing next. Then tomorrow my buddy is coming over with his car and we'll detail them up

Yup, thanks for asking.

Septic and home inspections this week. Septic showed 2 systems, one failed, the other fair-poor. Home Inspection showed issues with every system in the house: roof, electrical, widows, standing water in crawl spaces.. We could tell we would have some work to do but cumulatively with what’s documented, we’re withdrawing our offer.

We’re open to further negotiations if the seller wants to negotiate, but we have a price in mind that’s less than half of what we’re walking away from.
