3rd Annual Cape Cod National Sea Shore "Oversand" Beach Day Sept 10-12 2021

Yeah it's gonna be close today until at least late afternoon. I asked the ranger here at province lands.

Gotta look at the positive...the beach beautiful, the sand is warm, it's breezy and I haven't been eaten by a shark yet.

 

We went out to Herring Cove beach. Stopped at Cumberland farms and there was a bunch of sand people bitching about the closure. Parked at the beach next to some locals in a 4Runner and spent 20 minutes bitching about the closure.

 

You can still walk down right? Seems good enough for me.

 

Finally made it out Sunday morning. Crappy situation, but still a good time.

 

I'm looking fwd to the next trip. We gotta ask the oversand gods for zero plane crashes.

Andrew, booked a slot for May and it already has me thinking about starting a September thread

 

early feeler.

Would there be any interest in an end-of-September outing this year? Pending weather, it looks like it is opened up.

I am most likely going to book for next weekend. I plan on arriving Friday night and leaving Sunday, early afternoon.

I am just waiting for my wife to confirm an early leave from work on Friday. I will book the corner site that can fit a couple vehicles/tents.
