IMG_1163.jpg When is this service suppose to be performed ? Dealer recommended that I need a fuel system cleaning at 57k miles . Should this be done prior to oil change or it doesn’t matter ?also was wondering if it’s time for a new serpentine belt Thank you

Not sure about the interval but I recall reading on here that the dealership will frequently dump a bottle of techron in your gas tank and call it a day. You can do the same with a $15 bottle from Autozone

Under normal circumstances, there is no fuel system cleaning needed.
    Not @ 57K. Not @ 257K.

If you did choose to have one done, it wouldn't matter if it was before an oil change, after an oil change, or while you're replacing a wiper blade..

I always add a bottle of techron when I top off the blinker fluid

They hook up a canister under the hood and inject the cleaner into the fuel line while the engine is running. It's a bit more aggressive than the STP bottles you pour into the tank: https://www.1000islandstoyota.com/system_cleaner_service

The Toyota maintenance booklet doesn't require this item. If you use good fuel it shouldn't be needed. Excessive cleaning can poison the catalytic converters.

Count yourself lucky, 4th gen switched to sealed blinker fluid system, needing Techstream to check level.

IDK I call BS on all those extra services they upsell to make more coin.
I do however add a bottle of fuel injector cleaner every time I do my own oil change. I don't always buy fuel that has the top tier logo, I go to BJ's wholesale to fill up mostly while their fuel is good they don't pay fro that top tier rating so it's just mostly to make me feel good.

since you didn't read it, it doesn't say to ever replace it unless it looks damaged, just look at it every 15-20 k.......in other words don't worry about looking at it till 100k

I got over 200k on both of my OEM belts, neither broke, but started to show signs of minor cracking. I wouldn’t worry about the belt.

I've replaced my belt twice now and I'm at 81k miles. First at around 30-35k I think. And just now at 80k along with an idle pulley - belt might have been fine but they are easy enough to put on and relatively cheap.

belts generally aren't a mileage item, but are replaced by conditions described in the video.
