I'm good with the stock suspension. I like the way the SR suspension feels. My off-road excursions are limited to mellow terrain and beaches, so stiffer "better" suspension isn't what I'm looking for. I've had a couple first gens and played the 4600/5100 game with upgraded springs and AAL. I'm just gonna stick with the Hitachi setup. I'm assuming I'll just replace all 4 at 100k

LED interior, license plate, and fog lights. More to come.
Shocks don't really affect ride height and 3rd gens pretty much all lean to the left side. I put a small spacer under my LF coilover when I went to 5100's to combat it. I'm just over the border in Orange County, NY and this summer has not been conducive to washing my vehicles. It was either way too hot and humid or raining. It last got washed mid July by a hand car wash place near work. Well worth the $20 to me.

I went with black, just because of the black trim on the truck I didn't think the white caps would have matched the white of the truck.

Has anyone experienced the Safety Breaking System activating going down for no reason?

OEM. Remove taillight assemblies, remove dummy-covers. The wiring (such as it is) requires unattaching the dummy-double-barrel cap that covers the truck wiring from the body (easy), remove the dummy-double-barrel and attach the bedlight connector. Then reassemble. Took longer ONLY because I had not done it before ... would be 5 minutes max per side again. You might want to remove negative battery because even OEM cables can feedback and cause issues.

I'm sure the system had a reason, just not one that you agree with or even noticed .

But seriously, my 2018 6MT won't hit the brakes, but sometimes flashes a big dang STOP message for reasons I certainly don't agree with. I assume some combination of radar and camera getting freaked out by the way things are moving.

my truck actually activated the breaks on an open road while the cruise was in use set at 55 or at least it felt like the brakes hit, it could have been the radar cruise deactivating that I felt.

I had this happen once on a narrow tight switchback turn w/ a guardrail. To the radar it looked like I was headed into a wall when it just wasn't quite time to turn yet. Yes, it raised my heart rate a bit.

OEM kit is simple. It comes with everything you need except a 10mm wrench. Well worth the $50

BBL for the truck (not today, but work in progress this week). AllPro rear bumper, got it on sale during Labor Day, couldn't pass it up since I've had my eyes on it for a month or so. I wanted an integrated hitch for the most clearance possible and I think AllPro's replacement is one of the better looking options for our trucks. Couple custom touches/adjustments to it: did not like the cheapo Amazon light pods that these ship with, so I did some unscientific research and figured I could jam some DD SS3s in there (it works!). I had to open up the cut outs a bit but it's was 100% worth it. Flip up license plate bracket didn't fit great out of the box and was uncomfortably close to the tailgate when dropped so I drilled my own holes for it and got rid of their weird stud bracket that made it sit out further, now it's much more flush and I cut the bottom off so it doesn't cover my plate at the bottom.

Next issue was the super bright clear lenses of the DD SS3s. I wanted to tint them, but coming in a flood pattern they're that ridged lumpy texture on the lens, so DupliColor's Spray lens tint helped me out there. (link if anyone wants it) Two light coats and they're more of a smoked look and don't look as harsh against the black bumper! And painted the SS hardware too.

Last one was wiring for the SS3s, nobody wants to use a shitty T tap on factory wiring so I ordered a set of OEM connectors and made my own plug n play T tap harness to get signal from the reverse lights to activate the relay to power the reverse pods! Backup light photo shows two of my parking sensor plugs missing, working on a flush mounted 3D printed plug that isn't as obvious as the ones AllPro provides. I'm all about the details!!

Installed rear sumo springs, fronts are on back order. Very easy install. I did one side at a time to help reduce chances of anything to move. 20240913_151501.jpg
