I have a 2013 Tacoma 4.0. Mileage is 296k. I have had a shutter issue for over a 100k miles and has gotten worse. I just replace my torque converter thinking this would fix my problem, however it didn’t. What would you recommend now, u-joints, driveshaft or differential?

Do the U joints have any play in them? Any codes?

Shudder is something that needs a better description of when and conditions it occurs

What led you to the torque converter?

Quit firing the parts cannon randomly. You're wasting your time and money.

Shudder when? Under what circumstances? In what gears? Every gear? Only 3rd gear?
At what speeds? ALL speed or only certain speeds? Does it shudder ALWAYS or only when under load, i.e. driving up hill for example?

When you replaced the torque converter, how was the transmission fluid? Normal red clean color, or tan/brown and burnt-smelling?
