Currently I have my fire extinguisher attached to a molle panel in my truck bed. I'm finding that I hit a lot when loading stuff into the bed. How are you storing yours?

Quick-Release in the bed, attached to the bedrail. (Sikorsky design certified for flight.)

Two bracketeers. Front seats. Regular one and element e50. To be out of the way and accessible.

I went with towards the front of the bed... Harder to access but less in the way. A second bracket near the tailgate in case I want to add another or move that one.

I keep a fire extinguisher between the door and seat in my Gen 5 4Runner. Attached with a simple velcro strap.

I like this idea. I'm trying to get it out of the bed so I don't knock it around.

Desert Does It Multi-Mount in front of driver seat with H3R extinguisher. Quick access, stays out of the way in a spot that would be wasted space otherwise.

Looks nice, @wi_taco. The Desert Does It Multi-Mount webpage seems to describe this kit as a seat jacker too. I must be reading that wrong, right? It doesn't look like one. And the mount is designed as a molle panel, but it looks like your H3R mounted up just fine with the OEM bracket. That’s right, yes?

Behind the rear seats on the passenger side. Its faster for me to get it from there than from the camper shell since that's locked 24/7.
Of course now there is a carseat back there so it might have to move somewhere else.

You need the seat jackets to mount the molle panel (also available through Desert Does It). I found a quick release mount from Amazon to put on the molle panel.

    I use the same

You do not need to use seat jackers to use the panel. I am using them without seat jackers and it's fine. Yes, the H3R bracket mounts up just fine with no molle needed. Just need to buy some fasteners at your local hardware store.

I have an H3R Performance fire extinguisher mounting bracket attached to the seat sliders on the passenger side of my 1962 Triumph TR3. This mount works well there and preserves the full range of seat adjustment (such as it is on that car!) It's a pricey little devil. Nonetheless, I've thought about one of these for my Tacoma, because I'm not really crazy about the Bracketeer mount I have in that Gen 2 truck now.

The Bracketeer mount on the Gen 2 attaches to the seat track itself, not the floor mounting bolts. It makes it impossible to slide the seat. It's kind of a cludgy mount, too, with a number of sliders and brackets. The finished installation has worked pretty well for five years or so, I gotta admit.

I just grabbed the quick release. Thanks! I might try to fab up a mounting bracket like Desert Does It. I'm pretty sure I have some flat bar in the garage from other projects. I just needed to see if it interfered with moving the seat.

My setup does not interfere with seat adjustment. It’s completely out of the way.
