Well... it could’ve been your charm then, back that number of years ago.

 

Honestly, back then, it was my good ole boy been fishing overnight with his Daddy and trying to make it back to work by noon to work his 10 hour closing shift at the supermarket, who is reporting to the MEPS center in two weeks to enlist in the Air Force. The American Flag on the back window of that '81 Toyota SR5 Pick-up helped too. Virginia was a very different place in 1983 ... but then, the whole world was different. I've said too much ... again.

 

For reference, look closely and you'll see the water line on the covered bridge down from the house. The jig was definitely full of water!

Yeah, that's what I was trying to get across about Hurricane Agnes.
Hardly any of Pennsylvania is actually flat, so not at all flood prone.
(Minor localized flooding excepted).
But that's what it was like all across the state.

It rained hard, 24/7 and without letup for over a week.


*The infamous Johnstown flood was a man-made disaster (dam collapse).
