That is hilarious. When’s the last time you got a Trojan or virus on your phone looking up things near you?

Also never had one on my MacBooks.

I haven’t seen a phone book in probably over 10 years.

I understand. You're not married, and you've never had kids. I haven't seen a NEW yellow pages in quite a while. But my point was that sometimes the old way of doing things had its advantages.

You couldn’t be further from the truth. I’m middle aged married with kids but that doesn’t matter.

Also sorry about the derail of your thread OP.

    UPDATE!

A few of the employees today told me they believe they have identified the purp!

Hopefully I get more information tomorrow and can relay how I’m able to fry this punk.

For the time being my rental is a Grand Cherokee 4xE. Thing is fast as shit and rides nice, but I want my truck back.

I’m pretty happy with my Blackvue. I got it with the battery saver so it’ll store data until the battery gets to a preset level. I have it wired to the main battery this way.

My version doesn’t have WiFi, but I would get it if I had to replace it. I 3D printed a holder for it that clips into the GoPro mount on my ‘18. Front and rear facing views.

Looks to be about the right height for one of those metal carry-alls that mount on the rear of a golf cart, almost hip height.
Could have gotten close and turned away, swinging the rear carry-all into the side of your truck.

I feel your pain, someone swiped the front of my driver side fender at Wally World. My body lines are a bit messed up now and the mounting clips are busted off my headlight. I haven’t gotten around to fixing it yet.

You must be a midget, because the top of my hip comes up almost to the door handle, and my truck is lifted. The dent on the OP’s truck is more like knee height. Like, say, car bumper height.

A golf cart with a carry-all would have to be absolutely insanely close to the OP’s truck to even hit it at all with the rear end. Like, literally sitting against it. The rear end overhang geometry is no different or even worse with a standard truck, and I can’t even imagine how I could hit someone’s vehicle with the rear end of my Tacoma pulling out of a space or even pulling by a vehicle closely. It would only be possible if my truck (or a golf cart with carry-all) was literally spinning 360 about one back tire like a ballerina, which isn’t possible.

Also, OP has witnesses that said a Mercedes sedan was the offender.

    Well, if you say so.
The door handle on my Tacoma is 45" from the ground. If your hip is that high, how do you get into the cab?
And btw Capt. Obvious, yes, to scratch and dent a vehicle, it would (obviously) have to be insanely close.
Maybe your ballerina panties are a notch too tight...

Lol, if your hips are at the height of the scratches on OP’s lower door panel (roughly 28 inches high on my lifted truck), then I would place you at around 4’8”. Which is well into the range of male dwarfism. If OP has a stock truck, you’d be even shorter.

I’m 6’ and my hips sit, oh, maybe six inches below the door handle. The truck and I fit each other just fine, no complaints.

Anyway if it was a golf cart with carry-all, the damage to the truck would have been a lot higher up, but hey that’s just Capt Obvious kinda stuff.

PS: checked my ballerina panties, they seem loose enough. I always go a size big on those.

    REPAIR UPDATE

It is going to cost about $3k to repair. They can fix the damage vs replace the door skins. Highly recommended shop with a lifetime warranty on their work. Should have it back in two weeks!

Getting closer on the perp too! Community security is working to get us the plate number of the vehicle now! Gonna gettum!!!!!

Sucks for sure, though doors at least are easier and cheaper to replace or repair than if they'd dented or punctured the rocker panel.

I took to running a dash cam in parking mode after someone clipped my bumper caps.
