Offsets for 3rd gens

    I've been thinking lately that it's time the Taco got some new kicks, I'm debating between a 265/50r20(x10) with a -18 offset or a 265/60r18(x9) with a -12 (not going any bigger than the stock tire diameter). Anybody have an idea how much trimming it would be to get those on? I got a 3rd gen taco with 2" lift

    I thought it was a pre requisite that your lift had to be a 4-6" drop bracket to be paired up with a 20" wheel....

    But seriously this sounds like a rediculas combo. But that's how I feel on any lifted street truck.

    33's, Sliders, Skid Plates, Softopper, ATH rear bumper
    1.) Place the front of the truck on jack stands, remove the front OEM wheels/tires and post them on here for cheap, someone will give them a loving home.
    2.) Remove the front coilovers (this is important).
    3.) Install the wheels/tires that you fancy. All that stands in your way now is useless metal and plastic.
    4.) Place a jack underneath the front tire and lift it up until the tire stops moving and the truck itself starts lifting (full compression).
    5.) Remove anything that touches the wheels/tire with a hammer, grinder, lightsaber, etc., and curse Toyota for their tiny wheel wells.
    6.) Turn the steering wheel full lock to lock, and repeat step 5 until the wheel/tire no longer touches anything.
    7.) Repeat on the other side.
    8.) If you run big boy tires, then there is possibly more work to do in the rear, but those people already know what they are doing and don't go through life following "steps".
    9.) Reinstall coilovers and *CustomOffsets* wheels and rubber band tires and enjoy your newfound clearance, knowing that you at least did something right.
    10.) Make sure to look back at your truck at least 3 times every time you park it at the mall to make sure no jealous hater has made off with your dubs.

    And just like that, 1000 posts are no longer needed for fitting X tires on Y wheels with Z offset (lift does not matter).
