I have not even picked up my new TRD Sport yet, but already thinking about how difficult, and expensive it would be to swap the grill.

    I LOVE this look...

The light bar might be a challenge, but I could probably make a block-off plate.

Why not just add a light bar?

Well, the truck is not wired for it, and I really don't need it. Also, the guy at the dealership parts dept told me the factory light bar was $1,200!

Once I heard what the light bar cost, I did not ask about the price of the grill. But I really like the TOYOTA script vs the logo -it has a cool old school look.

Toyota needs an accessory Pro grille matte black like the trailhunter with the silver painted script from the Pro. Gloss black isn't going look good on anything but the Pro, and the bronze script isn't going to work with out bronze wheels.

Oh, yes, definitely want a matte finish with silver script. Good call on that!

Not sure if I have the AUX switch yet - still waiting for the truck to be delivered. But I really do not want the light bar. For me, less is better.

Are you getting the upgrade or premium package? If so you should have them.

Nope, pretty bare bones TRD Sport. The only update is the larger screen and I sprung for the black 18" wheels they use on the Pro. I keep cars and trucks a really long time, so I try to avoid most bells and whistles, assuming that these will eventually fail long after the warrantee has expired.

My new TRD Sport is replacing my 2006 F-150. But I'm going to keep the old Ford truck to finish up some projects, hauling firewood, etc. I don't want to get a scratch on my new truck until I get some miles on it! :)
