You guys are probably off the same damn exit.

 

I am in Show Low.

 

We're on the SW side of Cedar, just to the east of the "lake"...

Still have family in the PHX area, so we go back every couple three months.

I know most of the hooligans in here...but watch out for that @KingOfTheNorth guy, he's shady AF!

 

I may be shady but I am sure to make some fun happen one way or another.

 

In other news. My drive went pretty good. Only a couple little problems arised on my way back but nothing crazy. I was exhausted and crashed hard AF last night. Was one of the best nights of sleep I have had in months. Apparently driving 36 hours in a weekend is the key to good sleep.

We did the hood swap for @Fortune Taco in my garage a couple years back, my buddy had the TRD sport and didn't want to scoop because he's short and old and couldn't see over the hood. I did some wheeling with @time623 in Sand Hollow a few weeks back too so extra brownie points for me in the AZ thread. The Utah BS Page can be pretty dead at times so I thought I'd check it out in here since we're fairly close to AZ.

@KingOfTheNorth I'm sure he uses the exit south of me but we're definitely pretty close

 

My aunts are twins who married brothers out there and they have houses next door from each other lots of kids between the lot of them.
I haven't been out there in YEARS
When I was 14 I fell through the ice on their pond in mid February and got pretty sick because of it.
They get awesome elk right on their doors steps I'm sure you probably do to

Hiking, Riding Dirt bikes and in my vehicles I ensure I have easy access to a TQ, Israeli Bandage, and med tape. Bo bo kit and full first aid kit secured as well.

Israeli Bandages cover a broader range of injuries than a TQ. But I do agree that a TQ is more likely to save a life.

 

ideally med stuff is easily accessible, with good samaritans in mind, if they can’t see it they won’t know it’s there

Nice! Yeah, it is a bit dead over there, which is why I tend to stay over here...lots of great folks in this thread.

The Hamilton exit is my usual go to for St George, and the 56 for heading north...I try to avoid the area by Wally World as much as possible.

Cool...I've been wanting to drop my grandfather's 1978 Old Town canoe in Navajo, but haven't had the time yet.

 

There's a fee if you want to use the dock because it's a "resort"
I'd aim for Kolob reservoir to the south, Yankee Meadow to the north, or Enterprise Reservoir to the west. Gunlock is decent too and a bit warmer with the lower altitude

 

The only times I've seen a tourniquet needed was when things were no longer attached as they should be (wear your gear when you ride, kids) and any bandage would be useless. If it's just a bleed the Israeli will probably take care of it and those situations, the tourniquet is for when it doesn't.

Familiar with Kolob reservoir...did the drive from the 14 to the 9 with the wife a few months ago...seemed like a popular place. Also explored around the Red Creek and Newcastle reservoirs. Will have to check out the others you mentioned...

 

I've got a friend who's property is right next to Newcastle res, we never stop their either haha. I not familiar with Red Creek at all. Kolob has been a lot busier the last few times we were there too unfortunately.

Say what you will about to Walmart intersection area but at least CupBob is pretty good (we're there picking up dinner now)
