but it's more fun to fix what's not broken and then when something doesn't brake you have more excuses to fix it

 

I just got order an OEM rack from Larry Miller Toyota today for under $450 including tax and shipping. Lots of places seem to be closer to the $700+ mark except for the cheap knockoff racks that are around $300
The listed price was $575 I think but they were 30% of on most things like McGeorge Toyota used to do and they discounted the shipping on top of that when it was in my cart

 

Thought a steering rack was purchased months ago?

foolsize Dana 44 and 35s but yeah

 

I think I can get some use out of mine still I just wanted to order a replacement before prices possibly go through the roof again.

PS I am not longer in possession of your LCA bushings so don't @ me
We gave mine a good look over and the bushings were fine the only play we found was in the rack so we opted to skip the labor and just eat pizza instead.

Same buddy who was helping me has a Sequoia axle just sitting there and no need for it so I may look into long travel sooner than later

 

Am I the only one here with a 95.5?

I ask because with the new LCA bushings on the way (thanks @unstpible and @Wulf), I am leaning towards getting all new alignment hardware incase I run into issues with the existing stuff.

I remember talking to someone at a AZ TW thing that had a 95.5 and he said there was something different about 95.5's vs all other 96-04 when it came to the alignment cams, but I can't remember exactly what that was or who I was talking to. Apparently it is the only difference vs the rest of the 95-97 sub-generation?

Now looking at Toyota parts dept its saying the standard cam bolts (

$27 48409-35050 Suspension Adjustor Cam Sub-Assembly

48409-35050 and

$29 48452-35020 Suspension Adjust Cam

48452-35020) may not fit my truck, and only fit 96-04 (A warning I've usually learned to ignore because so many parts databases incorrectly say this)

Also the Yotashop cam bolt kit says it does not fit pre 9/1995 trucks, I'm I think a 6/1995.

Anyone know anything about this?
