Hey guys new to this forum. I have a 2011 Tacoma TRD Sport DC 4wd with a 5ft bed. Need some help. I am going with low pro load bars, an IKamper Mini 3.0 in the rear, and will have a few containers with camping gear in the bed. My question is, should I go with sumo springs, a helper spring, or air bads to help with the load? The bed bar rack weighs about 35 lbs, IKamper Mini about 125 lbs, and gear maybe 250ish??
I also just purchased new Bilstein 4600 Heavy Duty shocks to replace the original oem’s. I don’t want to lift the truck and don’t want to break the bank on suspension upgrades. So blue or black sumo springs, Hellwig helper springs, or air bags? Any one having experience in this area with RTT, Light bed rack n bars, and camping gear load, I would highly appreciate your opinion and input. If you are running sumo springs, did you go with the blue or black? Thanks and I appreciate it!!

I went with the hellwig ez1000 helper springs, 2012 Tacoma Sport, due to various considerations. "IMHO" the sumo and timbren are more applicable to motorhomes or towing build, not offroad use, same with the airbags.

Modifying suspension offers loads of options far too many, of varying degrees, which it is really dependent on user plans or desired uses. Even I was hesitant about offering my thoughts on this subject. Do your research and ask yourself questions on the future of your rig. Hopefully you see this and find it helpful. Any questions well be welcomed, not so much for my opinion but to explore all options available. We can all learn something here.
