I did 35s and front Stoptechs at the same time. It was hard to tell but it felt only marginally better for me. I should probably upgrade to the boosted master cylinder to reap the full benefit of the BBK, especially if I go BBK rear.

You sir have a beast of a rig.

Nice that is pretty much where I am at. I put on the rear when I added in a new front setup and changed a few other things. The heavier it gets, the less you will notice big changes, but I will say if your truck is heavy, the rear discs are a nice addition. The only bummer is the e-book is almost useless. I am looking into possibly adding the Wilwood electronic e-brake. I heard Stoptech may come out with one, but I have not heard anything in a while on that. In some cases it seems the rear almost has too much bias but it def stops nice.

At 6000+, it's a nice added. Is it required? No, but it's nice in the chase for better braking on a super heavy truck. If you go heavier tires and add more that all comes into play. If my truck was stock or 2000 lbs lighter (I sit at 6500-7000), I bet it would be super nice. Brake pads make a lot of difference here, as well. With willwood when i went bp-20 to bp-10 it was way better. Right now, I have Hawk up front and stop tech sport in the rear. Supposedly the front are similar but i think he stoptech sports are still ad tad more aggressive and likely will match up down the line.

Anyone looking for Stoptechs let me know. Launched https://holyhorsepower.co and are set up with SOS and have access to Wilwood but not posted.

IDK about the TRD Sport, but the TRD Off-Roads have an electronic brake master cylinder that cannot be upgraded.

I have Stoptech BBK front and rear and the Electronic booster. Def better than Stock and yah no way to upgrade it. It does not have a soft pedal by any means. I need to mess with brake pads as its decent when its warmed up but so so when cold.

Also to note the weight of your truck is going to play the biggest factor regardless of setup. My truck is 6700-7000 maybe a tad more now with the tundra rear end.

I had another mechanic replace the rear drum pads and he somehow firmed up the pedal feel, so I'm scratching the plan to upgrade the MC.

Drums have an adjuster that you can move with a flathead screwdriver. He probably just readjusted it to the correct tension!

I only did the front BBK on mine and refreshed the drums with new pads, drums, and hardware. That's enough for most tacos, I think.

Yeah absolutely possible he simply did that lol. Did your pedal feel squishy after the BBK? ..I imagine not since you replaced your rear drum pads, etc.

No squish on mine. The Baja's also had the electronic brake cylinder.

When I needed replacements, I shopped for a brake pad that fit the Stoptech ST-60 caliper.

And for the rotors, I'm pretty sure I searched for an application for the 340mm rotor found on the late model GX/4Runner.

You can also look on SOS Performance. They use Hawk pads a lot now but also Stoptech sport pads work.

Shameless plug for @PapaBear . He's selling a set of rotors that I'm 99% sure will fit the SOS bbk. If I lived in Vegas or was needing a set of replacements, I would seriously consider buying his.
