Recently had the clutch replaced on my 173k ‘05 Taco. Since I got it back, the transmission is slowly making a decent stain in my driveway, as well as anywhere else. It looks like it’s coming from the top, so I thought it might be the gearbox since they had to break it open to drop the tranny. I DID change the fluid before I took it to the shop. I figure I either overfilled it, or the shop didn’t seal something when they put it back together. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Can we assume there was no leak before the work?

Can we assume it truly is the transmission, and not the rear main of the engine?

If yes. take it back to the shop and ask them to correct the leak

Hi Bill. No leaks before the work was done. Don’t know if it’s the rear main or not, but I can definitely smell the tranny fluid. I took a few pics if you think it may help
