    dd light bars, trd cat back exhaust, KDMax tuned, trd skid plate, 2" lift, sema wheels toyo open country at3 tires.
    Make sure the engine mating surface, and the new pan are completely clean, dry, oil free, and no left over sealant from the original pan, prior to sealing with FIPG, and installing the new pan. Look up the bolt tightening procedure for the pan, or at least do a crossing pattern. Ski

    Aftermarket pans typically come with a plug. OE doesn't I guess. Too bad there's no aftermarket pan yet for the 3.5L (the 4.0L has 5-6 vendors).

    @abou824 wait until the FIPG fully cures before filling up the oil and starting the engine.

    The parts guy made $85 profit from the sale. Nothing for him to be appalled about...

    There is an aftermarket pan from Dorman for the 3.5

    ^What's the P/N? Dorman's website shows only one for the 2.7L. The pan for Lexus 3.5L models is shaped differently.

    Not sure, the autozone guy told me he could order a dorman one and I didn't ask. I might have the receipt with the info he gave me still, I'll check tomorrow. I know he told me it was only $95.

    I already have the OE pan in my garage ready to go on lol. My experience with Dorman is that they're pretty hit or miss. I've had good results with most of their stuff, but I've gotten a few shitters.

    Don’t feel bad. Mine stripped out after 18 oil changes. Lower pan replacement isn’t difficult.
