Hi everyone. I recently bought the newest vehicle I've had since 1998. Had a 2003? AC Tacoma 4 cyl. That was before the rear doors. Had a plow on it !

I bought this Tacoma to replace a '12 RAV4 that an animal died in. Smelled really bad.Worse than just mouse. Insurance paid some but not enough. I've had lots of other Toyotas: '97 & '99 4runners*, '99 RAV 2wd*, '05 Tundra dble cab LTD*. (* = still have >>3 plus Tacoma)

So I'll be needing winter/offroad tires as this is my winter vehicle. Looking at Maxxis AT811. Probably in the stock size but may go up one on my 17" wheels.

Love the Lunar Rock. Detest black interior. Might try to paint it or stick vinyl to some of it.

If you have salt or brine treated roads, frame protection is your #1 mission.

If you need actual winter / snow tires, Blizzack and a couple others are top contenders

    Welcome

    Thanks for the welcomes.

Yes, I live in northern NH. Was just looking for how to add that....

Rust proofing is my number one thing. I have the Tacoma mostly done with a combination of things like Castle Endura penetrating spray grease, Undercoating in a Can Clear ( a waxy spray ) and another I don't remember the name of that was for the insides of doors, rocker panels, etc.

I removed the tube steps because they were a little rusty and I sprayed and put bolts in the holes. Next, I need to rub grease on the top of the frame. Have the spare down and out for the moment. ( What's up with having a spare tire lock and no directions for it !!!??? )

Removed the aftermarket taillights today. The idiot didn't even put the lights in the holes so they had salt etc inside.... Fun, fun.
