Hey everyone, i was looking around and i cant find a definitive answer on if a 235/85r16 tire would be ok on 16x8 wheel? On the tire websites it says they are rated for 6-7.5 wide rims but would half an extra half inch in width make it dangerous? I called a tire shop by me and they said it would be "ok" but i want some extra opinions. thanks!

No replies on this post?? I have been searching for the response to this forever. Let me know what you ended up doing. I just picked up my first Tacoma '13 DCLB and I dig the expedition skinnies.

They’ll probably fit, but you’ll get no road rash protection from the sidewall of the tire.

I would stay within the tire manufacturers specs... Do you already have the wheels?
