The last 2 months have been a string of AC issues. Of course in the middle of the hottest parts of the year.

In the past 3 years I've replaced the blower motor resistor 6 times. After a while I figured out the Autozone replacement had a lifetime warranty, so the last 3 have just been free replacements. I finally decided to try to fix the actual issue, and installed a new blower motor yesterday. I even got a new resistor to go with it.

After about 5 minutes of use where all the fan speed settings worked, the resistor blew again. I thought a new motor would fix the issue, but it must be something else. I have a new pigtail connector on order because the old one is burnt on one of the contacts. Is there anything else I need to look at as well?

Do you have a Volt meter? How many volts are you pushing?
