2015 White DCSB Prerunner Overlander "Chalupa"

Welcome to "Chalupa's" rig build thread

Relatively new to the forum, figured because my living room is full of parts to go on the truck I would start documenting. This also helps me stay organized with all my projects.

My goal is an overlanding rig, and to drive this truck until it dies, put a new engine in it and keep driving it. Her name is Chalupa

Here's were I started:
Bone Stock 2015 White Prerunner DCSB Purchased in 2023
Truck came with American Outlaw 17" wheels and 265/75r17s
Didn't have floor liners (weird)

Upgrades since in Chronological Order:
Weathertech Floor Liners
Modular Max 14" bed rack and bike carrier
Speaker Upgrades to Infinity Reference
Prinsu Roof Rack with some fixings(kayak rack)
Meso Customs molle panel across roof of rear seat in the cab
MT64 Suspension 2.5”
Dakar heavy leaf pack
OVS Roof top Tent
Headliner Console replacement with LED Maplight upgrade
23Zero 270 Peregrine Pro Awning
Yaesu FTM-500
ARB ONBOARD AIR
SCS Ray10 Brushed Copper 17x8.5 -10 offset


Upgrades in Progress:
60% Rear seat platform with internal 12V system

• Victron DC to DC 50AMP
• Victron Shore Charger 30AMP
• LiTime 100AH x2
• Victron Solar MPPT

Homegrown 6" pressurized water storage tank

Upgrades to come:
Solar panels to be mounted on RTT
4x4 conversion - slowly gathering parts

Finished install on MT64 with Dakar leaf pack.
Wasn’t that bad!

 

Here’s my console upgrade. Makes it easy to mount the radio while at the same time upgrading those poopy map lights

 

That overhead console… awesome! did you make that custom??

 

I did not! I got it from Kflo on Etsy.
I bought it as a laser cut panel and had to deburr, shape, and powder coat myself. Then I installed the map lights and hooked it all up. My one thing is I need to get a sheet of mass loaded vinyl because it does make the roof a little noisy. But that’s no biggie.

 

Got as much done before my back surgery on my rear seat delete.
Victron chargers and 200ah of battery.
In the next couple of weeks I hope to finish this part of the build up.

Just ordered rubber for them. Hopefully will get these suckers mounted in the next few days.
