My best bud since Jr. High and I text every Friday and more often as needed. We’ve done this since the pandemic. Doesn’t matter who texts first, we always respond. I value his and his family’s friendship that’s endured for decades.

He’s out in CA but distance doesn’t matter.

I text my best friend (my wife) daily. It's the main way we communicate while I'm at work.

Barring that, I do have a pretty good friend that I text...mmm, probably weekly on average. We just went for beers and to smoke a cigar last week and had a wonderful 4 hours shooting the shit. Going to a heavy metal concert with him next month. Other than that, it's either business related or my Grandpa.

Time changes, people’s schedule changes, people’s livelihoods change...., I understand all that as it is what it is. And my excuse for my silence is because I might say things that causes a big mess and I often not capable of mending it up :anonymous:

Got an email late today that my boss needs me to do a survey of the new building to document various things in the labs, which is going to suck.

Then I go out to my truck to leave and it wouldn't start... As I'm sitting there watching all of my co-workers leave. Thanks for having my back, guys.

Thought I’d share this with you wrenchy’s.
Friend bought this Klein wrench set on sale at Lowe’s and first use
upload_2024-9-19_16-46-6.jpgDunno if this is a fluke or a bad batch but this isn’t like Klein. Looks suspiciously like Chineseum flu to me from an American made company

Pick up a Noco Boost GB40 and keep it in the truck. I bought one for $100. Better than waiting for AAA imo.

Even Snap-on tools have their tools made from that region of the world, I wouldn’t have any doubt that Klein tools be that much of an exception.

Worked on it 2 or 3 different times, probably 30-40 minutes total. We paid $6 for it, so I wasn’t gonna go all in and spend hours on it. The buffing wheels chucked in a drill and the liquid polish helped!

I have a similar device I bought from Costco a few years ago but have never used it. Charged it up yesterday and got me home today.

That new battery can't come fast enough. Here's hoping that's all that's wrong with the truck.
