Are there any plastic or aluminium skid plates? I live in rust belt and i dont want to buy steel. Rather buy something cheap just to keep the road salt flush away from frame

TRD Pro skid plate is aluminum. RCI sells aluminum plates. I live in AZ (used to live in OH) so cannot comment on road salt, but I cannot believe RCI and others make skid plates that rust within 2 years.

    Plastic skid plate ?
Probably as useful as thin paper plate at a fancy dinner.

A skid plate won't keep anything off the frame. You'll still have to wash and treat the undercarriage.

    This!

OP search for Krown or some other local service that sprays the undercarriage in your area. I would avoid the ol Zebart style rubberized though. I know there aren't a ton of locations, but I like Krown since the also spray inside body panels. For the $150 they charge, I don't want to deal with the mess.
