Good example, I presume if I as the person harmed could push the issue regardless though.

That said that might be a good way to get said 95 yr old off the road, versus a horrible accident.

Got the truck back yesterday and she looks perfect!

The offender is known and the process will be pursued by the police. Straight to the gallows!!!!! Haha.

What if the vehicle was driven by a 15 year old who strong arm car jacked it from 95 year old man? They aren't going to the gallows, they are getting a ride home to their parents, and everyone's rates go up.

 

Nice ending. One of the few times the offender is found in a situation like that. Good thing it was in a manageable area.

In a way, I'm fortunate enough to live in northern Michigan where the parking lots at the handful of your big box stores are just as big as anywhere else but there are only 1/3 the number of cars parking. And, they all park as close to the doors as they can. Many people will actually park parallel to the doors right in the front drive. Whatever happened to ticket writing in parking lots?

When I park, it's always at the far end, up against a curb. The extremely rare occasion someone is ever out by me has been either another Taco or a Jeep that have parked with a few spaces between.

 

Rates probraly won't go up. Some states get laws about commiting violent crimes to older “senior citizens.” The 15 year old will be arrested and tried as a adult, sent to the “big house.” Be somebody else’s “batch!”

I had a 1988 Chevy S-10 that I would find those jackwagons who think they need to take up two spots and park as close as possible. sometimes it took me 5 minutes just to get in the right position where they couldn’t get out of spot because my rear bumper hung past theirs. People would be pissed when I get back but I’d say if you can’t park right why should I.

Sad. And so many parking spaces just ahead with no other cars around - and do I spy
a handi-capped space?.... those are golden... I take up about 1/4 of those spaces with
mine - I think I'll slip my doc a crisp $100 and get one of the tags so I can park in the
entire space any time I need to.
