If you’re a Netflix fan, The Heist has a couple episodes on Pappygate called “The Bourbon King”. I thought it was interesting.

Same pour tonight!!! I switched over to Filibuster BiB, which is really, oddly unique. Went back to the Screaming Titan, excellent!

I'm no expert, it's a smooth sipper but no real robust flavors, seems watered down. You would think it would be a higher proof than 94. For the money I paid it's a win, not really a bottle you would impress family or friends with. Retail like $55, you could buy something much better. I won't waste it but probably wouldn't buy it again.

The small store I purchase bourbon from has some Yellowstone and Redwood Empire bourbon. I see pretty good reviews of both, I think they're both 90 something proof. Both under 40 retail, any thoughts?

I like the Redwood Empire offerings. Very good flavor profiles. I like the cask strengths, which bring up the price. So far, Screaming Titan is my favorite. A good smooth wheater

In Reno, NV for work this weekend and found a place called Death and Taxes that has a banger of a selection of bourbon, whiskey and tequilla. So many unicorns to choose from! And even a bottle shop for some unicorns, many that are barrel picks!

    IMG_7154.jpg

I went with an EH Taylor flight - two single barrels from 2024 and 2022 and then the small batch. Loved the 2024 - so good!!! Asked how much for a bottle and if I wasn’t worried about checking with my baggage, I would have bought one!

So if ever in Reno…highly suggest visiting this spot! Small little spot with some knowledgeable guys working the bar top.

I would like to find some of the Dettling. I watched a video on them a while ago and now want a bottle for my cabinet. Unfortunately, I have not been able to locate any of their offerings yet.

I flew home from Austin with 5 bottles in my checked bag and from Dublin Ireland with 2 bottles. No issues.

Went a little crazy. Got into tequila and my favorite is definitely the regular blanco.
