I bought some bilstein suspension upgrade at suspension lifts and I'm noticing there was no sales tax included in the receipt? Any explanation here? Probably not something to complain about.. but seems sketchy

With the icon AAL, the subtotal from below came out to $1,553.50, and that's what was ultimately charged on my card.

    thanks

It's not sketchy. There's no way around them not paying the sales. They just didn't pass it on to you so you basically got a unofficial price reduction on the item you bought. Whats odd is I don't see them advertise that. I did find searching online their 2023 black friday add which shows no sales tax along withe their free shipping.

I know in the fly-fishing world the major manufacturers have strict retail price policies so small online shops don't price undercut their major retailers. To get around this they offer free items based on purchase, free shipping and one shop I use in California has no sales tax. These are just other ways of lowering the overall price while still selling at retail price.
