As you all know my year taco shares it's brake resovoir with the clutch. I took it to the shop to confirm my suspisions. It is leaking from where the line from the clutch side of the resovoir meets the firewall. I got a quote for 350 dollars and was told 2 days before part could come in. What exactly is the part? Is it a port that is in between the line from resovoir and line to the clutch master cylinder?

Is it the hose or bulkhead fitting that is bad?

I know it's not the hose. I believe it's the bulk head. I can't seem to find the part he is referring to that is between the outside hose and inside hose on the firewall. That piece is leaking causing outside leaks and leaks inside on my carpet.

Looks like 31495 is the bulkhead tube.

Reviving this old thread for some help. I've got a leak at this bulkhead fitting on my '05 2.7 4wd. The entire surround and fitting are a rusted mess. I've owned since new, and I'm trying to limp through to 2026 when SS kicks in so I can better afford another truck, given prices and availability.

I've got a good mechanic who knows the truck and takes on whatever I'm not skilled enough (or brave enough) to take on. Before I get to him, I'm just trying to understand a little better what the parts are and how they might be removed, reinstalled, how they are assembled, etc.

From the diagram, am I correct that the tube you are discussing is part of an assembly that basically is a transition piece through the firewall? Fittings for the hard lines on both sides of the firewall that connect reservoir and clutch lines inside the cab?

There's so much rust I'm guessing the mounting metal of the firewall itself is probably not in tact enough to simply replace that assembly. Would pictures help?

    Thank you.
