What does Truxedo say? I’m guessing bed flex is causing it.

Is the bar end of the cover at the front of the bed parallel with the bed? Are the side rails correctly installed? On mine there are adjuster screws on both sides and if they are not set correctly they will cockeye the whole cover. You could measure the length of the right and left sides of the cover to check if the bed cover is incorrectly made.
Can you post pictures of the front of the bed and of the other side of the bed?

What is bed flex @CrispyTacoLover, or maybe I shouldn't ask? (Truxedo doesn't say anything on weekends!)

@joeyv141 It is parallel at the front, and I THINK it's correctly installed. It might well be the adjuster screws. When I first installed it, it was too tight to close, so I loosened the screws, and I may not have done that evenly... (gee, maybe I have a screw loose?? wouldn't be the first time the possibility was raised!)

    I will post more photos.

I seriously doubt it’s being caused by the bed sides wiggling enough to break the Velcro free. But it’s only thing I could think of.

I looked at the way my cover is today, and I think it’s the way the bed has been designed. My cover is squared up by the cab and the exact measurements on both sides but when you look at it from behind. It looks tapered going to the back .

I may be misunderstanding OPs issue but I took it as the complaint/issue is the cover sides is not parallel to the side velcro rails, hence why you can see more and more of the velcro the closer to the tailgate.

I assume you can't just peel it up and re-stick? Wondering if the fabric shrunk somehow?

Okay, so I went and adjusted the screws, and the driver's side was looser than the passenger side, so it makes sense that could've caused it. Then I was able to shift the fabric so that the sides covered the velcro almost equally, and I was satisfied that it was solved. Then when I opened and closed it again after loading it up, when I got home I noticed it was slightly off from where it was when I thought I'd fixed it. So something is causing it to inch over at the back and I don't know what. I'll readjust tomorrow. (I called Real Truck, where I bought it and they said I should call Truxedo, which was, of course, closed by the time I got to it...)

I also have an issue with the weather stripping, which I went to install yesterday (we're about to get a week of rain here). There's a big bracket on each end of the bottom of the tailgate, and the seal I have does not fit behind these brackets, even if I lift the door a little to create a little space between the brackets and the bed end. And if I do stick the seal in there, the tailgate doesn't close right. So the seal can't go all the way across the end of the bed. I stuck it on there where I could, but if I can't cover the whole seam isn't it kind of useless??

It's a black piece of vinyl that probably expands and constricts with the heat of the sun / cold air at night would be a reasonable guess. :notsure:The "fuck off Slater" was a nice touch though.

My Tuxedo top is probably 15 years old do they may have changed it a lot since my. On mine I loosely bolt the side rails in and close the tailgate, I then adjust them so the foam end bit is just touching the tailgate, I tighten the bolts up so they are snug but to tight, I then loosen the adjuster screws on each rail, install the fabric roll by lining the bolts in the cab end bar into the hole on each side rail. I then install the washers and nuts bairly snug, I unroll the cover and line it up, I eye ball check if the cab end of the roll is at 90 degrees to the side rails, I roll the cover up, tighten the side rail bolts, and adjust the tension screws on each side slightly, then I tighten down the cab end bar to side rail bolts and test it out for fit. Sometimes I do have to make another slight adjustment, I believe my instruction say to install the cover when its cool out cause the cover does shrink slightly when it's warm.

I noticed on mine when I roll it up uneven it will un-roll the same way unless I adjust it. Also are both side rails at the tailgate the same distance out from the bed?

Its near the inside of the bed cap towards the cab and in the middle aiming out in the back.
