Ok. New here. Have had my 14 off road for many years. I have never figured out the purpose of the 2 air valve stems on either side of my license plate? Is this a stock feature or after market? I've never touched them.

Definitely not factory, probably some kind of air springs.
Have you looked under the truck where the lines from them go?

They meet at a T for sure, haven't really climbed under there to follow them much further. Probably need to.

Please post pictures of the valve stems, the air lines, and where the leaf springs are bolted to the rear axle

People typically add them to help keep the truck from squatting when they add alot of weight to the back, you can adjust the amount of pressure in them to adjust the amount of spring assist they provide.

So In Theory, I could fix the natural squat it has right now? What other benefits or lack there of do these come with? Thanks for the replies.

That I can't really answer as I'm not a suspension guy, there's people much more knowledgeable than me on that subject.

The less the rear squats the less the front lifts, so your front feels less sketchy and more connected to the road.

It also helps the rear suspension prevent from bottoming out when hauling or towing.

Helper bags should only be used to get the vehicles rear up a bit when loaded, you dont shoot air in it until its past the stock height.

Typically I'd put in 15psi for heavy loads, 30 for really heavy but you have to play with it.

Thanks for the reply. I rarely haul much with mine. Occasional hunting trip with standard gear. Sometimes pull a small trailer with various things on it. My zero turn. That's about it really. So I'm feeling these are kinda useless for me. I don't recall anything about the bags being posted when I bought it from a dealer. Also would like to do a small lift someday, don't know if this affects that.

To bet installed: bling grill, headlights, fog lights.
Put some air in and see if they don’t leak. Nice thing is no air and they don’t do anything. Get more load in the back than usual, you can add air.
