Do you guys know which plug has the wire that connects the starter? I wanna splice in a kill switch that needs to be pressed while the key is turned in order to start. If you tell me the plug I can use a multimeter to find the wire.

There’s not really a good option for getting a start circuit from there that I can find. You could go with the green wire in pin #3 of IA1, which is the top of those five connectors. However, that is the actual power to the starter solenoid. Not sure how much amperage the solenoid draws to activate, but if it’s more than a few amps, you might burn out the switch over time unless you get a heavy duty switch. You’d need to measure draw to determine that.

The other wires are going to the ECM, transmission PNP switch, and out the relay box to the starter, etc so they aren’t just easily grabbed.

All of that said, a switch that you have to hold to start and also be hidden sounds very annoying to deal with every single time you start the truck. I would recommend not doing this, but your truck.

It’s supposed to be a theft deterrent and I’ve already found a place to put it that is convenient.

    Thanks for the info.
