Fit check Monday, more like fat check , the only time a year you'll catch me clean shaven. Tighten up, we helped get the Clipper fueled up over the weekend, ready to fly. Hopefully we'll get a patch or at least a sticker out of the deal:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

I'll also echo (heh) the Husqvarna suggestion. I couldn't be happier with mine.

Congrats on the new addition! Very humane of you, although I am not surprised and would expect nothing less! After getting married in 2017 my wife brought two cats to the marriage and I brought two. My two were older and passed a few years ago. Down to two until Wednesday of this past week when "Belle" was diagnosed as in kidney failure. The cat had an expensive life and "earned" the nick name of 1K, 2K and 3K before we stopped counting. The final tally for her end of life stage was over a grand. So I feel your pain. And that was after the dog went in to the vet the day before since she had been ill. That bill was not cheap either. We have been fortunate that the last three pets have passed peacefully at home. That path is much easier on the conscience. Belle was not as lucky but she did not feel any pain. The staff at the vet clinic was amazingly supportive.

    Let me translate for you...

"Thank you for your considerable talent, time and effort in completing a job that you did not need to do for me or your other neighbors. We are glad to have you in the neighborhood and appreciate all that you do!"

Maintenance is literally the red headed step child of a building, but when stuff goes wrong we're there. Don't know why some many employees hate us :notsure:

I think most of us if not all here, would rather hang out with maintenance haha. Maybe that makes us all weird :anonymous:

As long as you're not the type to hang around and try and chat while I'm elbows deep in something that's cool.

I've got an old one of those, it worked well, but a couple years ago. I got the Badlands jack. If you ever need to use a jack outside of your garage paved surfaces, it's well worth the extra money. Also if you are lifting trucks vs cars it's much better. @Fargo Taco If you can wait until there's a coupon for some % off, makes the price a bit more palatable.

    Yes. :amen:

I can't count the number of times some worker who was just as swift as a brick came into my office (not air conditioned BTW) and said "I sure would like to get to sit at the computer all day..."

    Caution  ahead:

    Let's review this:
    1) I got here at least 45 (unpaid) minutes before you.

    2) I'll be here at least an hour after you go home, frequently also unpaid.

    3) If I get a lunch it will be right here at my desk while I do paperwork.

    4) Most likely some idiot like you person will manage to mess something up so they go to lunch early and I not at all.

    5) Did you notice it is about 85 in the shop - except in the winter when water in a pail can freeze overnight.

    6) While I "get to" sit at the computer did you happen to notice the the dozen of books, catalogues, tables & charts, the piles of notes, calculator, etc...

Just what in the :censored: do you think I'm actually doing here -- perhaps my job???

    Tremendous urge to:
    Brick > >:smack: << Rusty

Naturally my position prevented me from saying any of that. :(

Usually I just asked for a clarification on whatever I was working on at the time:
"Would you use a TD fuse on the control transformer...?
    Accompanied by an earnest look.

    upload_2024-9-23_14-18-2.png

    ...and...

    upload_2024-9-23_14-19-39.png

Magically he immediately had something to do elsewhere. :D

So in a store today I saw something that I won't unsee for a while...

A young adult female wearing pajamas, fairly common anymore.

    Toting a stuffed animal..

    Sucking on a pacifier... o_O

She was with a guy, I presume her boyfriend -- I kind of wanted to tell the dude to run. :notsure:

    Thoughts/comments/new poll perhaps?
