Forgive me for my ignorance, and I apologize if this question is annoying and has been asked before, but I need alignment advice.

I recently took my “23 TRD OR with stock suspension, 265/75r16 on 0 offset wheels on a 3000+ mile drive that was mostly on paved roads but did see some relatively well maintained forest service roads. Prior to the trip the truck had very little of any pull to either side but now it pulls to the right immediately upon letting go of the wheel. I’m thinking surely it’s an alignment issue.

My question is, can the Toyota dealer be trusted to do a proper alignment given the changes I’ve made to the tire/wheel set up over stock?

It' either an alignment or tire balance issue. Prolly the latter....

I've not seen a balance issue cause a pull but I have seen a tire create what we called a "radial pull" during the years I spent as an auto tech. You can try swapping the front tires side to side and see if the pull switches directions. Generally a pull is caused by a caster issue (it will pull toward the side with this least positive caster). If swapping tires doesn't change anything I'd ask other local Taco owners who they use for alignments. Generally dealers just get all the readings "in the green" and send it. A good alignment shop that is familiar with these trucks can set it up better than factory.

I'd have that truck put up on an alignment rack and see what the numbers tell you. I would never ever let a dealer do an alignment as, the previous poster says, they'll just make sure all the specs are in the green, which is not good enough. It's likely that, even on mild forest service roads, you've inadvertently hit a bump that knocked something out of whack. Find a good independent alignment shop in your area, have it aligned and then post a photo of the printout. That can tell a lot and people here can help you understand what it means.
