My 2 Israeli bandages and CAT tourniquet arrived. Just bought a 73 gram 200 lumen light to hang in my bed tent ... battery powered because I do not want to trust USB in a pinch (and I have a headlamp and a gonna-beat-your-ass-hippie 4-D-cell Maglite flashlight and a small maglight 2-AA-cell flashlight). Bought a flint/magnesium fire-in-a-box kit and "storm-proof" matches.

Time to head into the desert and take 2 years to write my manifesto.

 

If you are willing to go skinny like 255-85-16 or 255-80-17 you can run 33s without needing to do any trimming.

 

+2 for skinnys. I had 33x10.5 Kenda RTs that fit with almost no trimming just had to work the alignment some.

 

Skinny tire club! 235/85 R16 my pinch welds are still intact but I have done a little trimming to the plastic fender liner but that may have only been necessary because I have spacers to clear the Tundra brakes with the second gen wheels.

I personally have no problem with skinny's, the idea was just to score Jeep take-offs for wheeling purposes.

 

It's a push and pull. AZ has so many cool things about it and there's tons to do and see. I just wish the summers didn't drag on so long and it didn't get hotter every year.

 

Fair enough. Comes a point when each must choose what makes the last few years more pleasant. Then you either suffer or select something better.

 

I was planning on snagging some 17" wheels for easy access to jeep take offs. My brother was working at a jeep dealership and they were constantly putting bigger tires on jeep straight from the dealership so they were tossing brand new tires left and right. He got 3 sets with less than 5k miles in a year

 

Do American made floor jacks even exist? Honest question.

Berry compliant makes them berry expensive.

 

The whole state isnt like phx or tucson. Where I am at we might see 100 for maybe 2 days a year. The rest of the time it sitts in the 80-90 degree range during the summer. Currently it is 41 on my way into the office.

Skinnies! 255/85r16 is a beautiful tire size that doesn't affect anything.
