They screwed up the hole and used wood filler or something to make the hole sorta round

Maybe you could bend a couple of pieces of the white tin they use on facia boards to "fix" the siding?

Find a white mounting block that’s bigger than the hole and cut out for the siding. Cut it out with a hole saw and mount a new vent to that.

I think I might have a piece of siding somewhere in the loft, shed, rafters.
Later project. AKA NEXT YEAR… Not going to tear my property apart looking for it now. If I ever come across it, I’ll grab it..

So, finally decided to paint the ceiling in the garage. I did pick one of the worst days to do it as it is very humid from the rain, but it is an inside project so I gave it a shot. Was one of those simple jobs that turned into stupid. I originally bought some Kilz Premium Latex to prime over the old stuff. This normally has worked very well for me, however I started rolling it on and it was not adhering in spots. I realized that they did in fact used to use a flat oil base (and likely lead). So, made the trip to Ace to buy some oil base Kilz. Got everything primed, but it was taking abnormally long to dry. So, I get out the 140K BTU salamander and set it on 90°. Let it run and did other things in the house. Started to smell diesel in the house and looked out in the garage and it was filled with smoke. Welp, guess that heater shit the bed. Aired everything out and managed to get a coat of paint on the ceiling. As of now (5 hours later) it still isn't dry in some spots, but is getting there. It's actually a satin finish, but the paint was super wet in these pics. Pardon the mess, been throwing away and moving stuff around waiting on the primer to dry.

This is what it used to look like after I removed the vinyl soffit.

Started the ceiling trim work yesterday. Got everything painted, somehow with all the humidity I got two coats on and it dried quickly. I was going to just get some regular 1x4 and then sand, prime, and paint them. However, they had the pre-primed on sale so I went with that.

Still need to clean the garage :anonymous:

Did start on putting it up, but it started to rain and was getting my saw wet :annoyed:

They were a Lowe's special. Have another in the basement above the washing machine/dryer. Seem to be alright.

Does anybody have a guide to adding ceiling lights (Wafers or true can incandescent) to a room with only existing ceiling fan and ceiling fan light? I want to get a new fan without a light, but wire the lights in the ceilings to my existing wall switch (1 for fan, 1 for fan lights)
