Looking to go off-roading today near Boulder on the Switzerland North trial. If anyone is interested let me know. Looking to wheel with similarly or more built rigs than mine (I’ve got a winch, 33’s, 3 ½” lift, 5.29 re-gear, front and rear bumpers, and sliders).

 

You can take my Nissan Leaf on Switzerland Trail. I recommend taking your built truck up Pennsylvania Gulch for some fun.

What are those like? Also do you know any camping near that T-33 crash site?

 

ironclads is a fork off T33 and there is dispersed camping around there. Otherwise there is Peaceful Valley Campground or Camp Dick

 

I’ll be getting to the trail head in an hour for T33 and Ironclad so anyone feel free to join

 

chained to the work desk till friday but have fun! Ironclads was the first trail i took my stock TRDOF on when i got it and always had a special place in my heart!

 

Remember when people used to post up wheeling trips in here? Probably time to bring that back.

Excuse my rudeness but so excited I wanted to put it in the old thread.

 

Anyone in Telluride this weekend wheeling? Out here planning to do a trail or two with a jeep buddy.

Broc says he wants to join me this year for some leaf peepin’ on a lap through Aspen, Crested Butte, and Marble that I travelled last year.

A "Life's short, ditch work" excursion will be held Friday 9/27. Meet at Pine Junction County Store and Gas Station (285 and Pine Valley Road) at 8:00 am.

We'll head west on Hwy 285 over Kenosha Pass, to CR 5 then CR22 over Weston Pass, to Hwy 82 past Twin Lakes and over Independence Pass into Aspen, south on Castle Creek Road to Pearl Pass, and should arrive at one of the many Brush Creek campsites east of Crested Butte around 5:00 pm.

On Saturday 9/28, break down camp and shoot for an 8:00 am departure to head into Crested Butte for breakfast. I will likely hit Rumors Coffee and Tea House for a breakfast burrito to go, one of a few breakfast possibilities. We'll head over Paradise Divide west side over Yule Pass, then Schofield Pass/Devils Punchbowl, on to Crystal Mill, then to Marble and stop by Slow Groovin BBQ to pick up some ribs. Then north on Hwy 133 to intercept Hwy 82 at Carbondale, then up to Glenwood Springs and I70 back home arriving around 6:00 pm.

Anyone interested?

That sounds amazing! I’ll check with “the boss” and see if slipping away for a couple days is doable.

 

Man, I'm interested but cant do it. This looks like an awesome trip though and I'm sure you'll have a blast.

 

Great route! Unfortunately, I have prior plans at my alma mater UNC homecoming game on Saturday. Enjoy!
