    Hello,
Is the balance between the front and rear brake adjustable? Specifically, is there an adjustment to get the rear brakes to brake harder and the fronts less?

I'm asking because I was coming down from Pikes Peak and got stopped at the brake check, front rotors were 540 degrees. I was in 2nd the entire time and thought I was taking it slow like I always do coming down from CO passes. There was no indication of brake fade. Seems the front brakes are working very hard.

I replaced the pads/rotors/fluid a year ago with:
    - Motul RBF 600 Synthetic Racing Brake Fluid-500
    - Carbotech CT976-1521 brake pads (front)
    - Centric Plain 120 Series Rotors (front)
    - The brake system was then bled and adjusted by a shop I trust

    Thanks!

    No adjustment for brake bias.
The only thing you can do is keep the rear shoes adjusted.
They don't self adjust, contrary to popular belief. They should, but they don't.
Not enough to keep them properly adjust. Not even close.

Meh, just use the parking brake frequently and they do. I know mine do because I check for the ever so slight drag when I rotate my tires every oil change.

But ya, no brake proportioning valve, virtually not since the dawn of ABS. If you haven’t had fade, then it seems like it all went well.

Maybe your adjustment mechanism is a bit seized up

No bias adjustment since 2005. You can adjust the rear shoes to engage earlier. That's about it.

I hope not. They have always went out of adjustment within 15k miles since new.
And I replaced all the hard ware just last year. That's probably why my shoes went 160k miles. ????

WOW those are some pricy shoes! What are some good middle of the road options? The ones i have on the truck I just bought are "ebc" something I think? Are those pretty decent?
