Humming or light grinding are the early signs, vibration usually comes later once there's actually perceptible play in the bearings. I've gone a few thousand miles on humming bearings (paying close attention to them of course) until I get parts in and its a convenient time to replace them. Not sure how long I would risk it with vibrations. If you jack up the corner and can wiggle the wheel with hands at 12 and 6 o clock and get play I def would be considering that fix ASAP.

This is actually helpful experience! I just bought a 2012 with what we believe to be a bad hub that's making some noise. No play in the wheel yet but considerable growling.

Mine was easy to find with the truck jacked up by grabbing the tire and by spinning by hand.
