    Of course there's mechanically programmed braking in the transmission...I would imagine that's engineered.

    I'm much more aware/educated on S-Mode now.

    Same here that's why i have the mod "ECT on at start up"
    without that every time you stop like to go to the store you have to push the button when you go to leave. the one time you forget, Yeaks!

    I'm not stressed about the 'hunting' issue. I guess my old-school-driving-method, steady-as-she-goes up to speed has resulted
    in a learning-curve that suits me and the truck. Coupled with metro-driving where that's all you can do anyway it doesn't seem
    to be an issue with me.... I suppose if I were in a more 'open' or 'rural' environment I'd feel the shift-points faster and might get
    annoyed with it but heck getting this thing over 40mph in this area is as good as it gets.
