4x4 not enganging

I always have trouble getting 4wd to engage and disengage. Even though I cycle it monthly

always have to stop, back up, roll forward, maybe repeat. It’s annoying. I’d say 20% of the time it engages on first go

 

I even throw mine in 4hi in a rain storm, just to keep things lubed. Txs for the reminder, it's time to throw my rear locker back on, and will even go play with the crawl control, as it's been a few months.
