GMC has a 6 function multipro tailgate.... mine just opens and closes.

GMC has a tailgate that folds open like a Transformer! Toyota needs to up their tailgate game so I can use my laptop in the bed while I'm on the trail.

Also probably costs 5-10x more than a plain tailgate and a ton more stuff to potentially break, no thanks.

 

I can only imagine that a fancy tailgate from Toyota would somehow be more desirable to steal.

Also just what we need . Let’s make the truck 5 , 6; grand more . It’s not expensive enough . It already has too much stuff in it . Those kind of tailgate s are stupid expensive

 

I absolutely love the multiflex tailgate. Adding steps to a tailgate is genius and should be stock on all trucks

Yes they do I'd avoid it when buying a GM. It might be nice and offer some functionality. If the truck on the lot I wanted had the multipro I wouldn't let that stop me from buying the truck. The regular tailgate has worked fine for me. Ford has a new tailgate, and Ram has something similar. I do use the little step thing Ford has on their regular tailgate. Could I live with out it sure.

One thing I have noticed is people putting their motorized scooters and wheel chairs on one of those hitch reciever platforms, even saw a little crain in the back of I think it was a Tacoma for lifting a chair. Having a bed and tailgate to make the loading of wheel chair easier for people could be a welcome innovation.

Maybe gm finally fixed the latch and plastic part that broke on peoples' trucks who actually used the truck as a truck and used the tailgate. (a lot) lol

Toyota made a fancy seat that’s so good, it turns your truck in to a 4 door access cab.

Just look at the seats on a TRD Pro with IsoDynamic seats.

 

If they are listening, we need bluetooth brakes, 20 inch rims, massage chairs, and a 2 cylinder turbo!

 

Funny enough, the power tailgate has already shown to be flaky. If you have a tonneau latched only from the inside, it could render the bed not consistently accessible.
