Hi everyone, new to the group, I’m looking for some guidance. I have a 2009 TRD sport long bed. I am replacing stock UCL and LCA with Mevotech Supremes, front and rear suspension with Bilstein 5100(front set to .85”) with no other lift. I’m wanting to keep it close to stock. I’m replacing front and rear LCA chamber bolts with bolts from Peddlers, All other nuts, bolts and washers will be new OEM.

This is my daily driver and my question to everyone is, once I’m done with the suspension. How long do I need to let the truck rest before making my daily commute of 15 miles?

Also, I plan to have BFG KO2s 265/70/17 Professionally installed and aligned within days of completing suspension upgrades.

    all thoughts appreciated, thanks.

I finished my suspension and drove it immediately.

My only advice is to not use the Mevotech stuff.

At only 0.85" of lift, you shouldn't need to replace any of that other stuff.

People generally only replace the control arms at higher lift numbers, if they can't get alignment into spec.

Thanks, I am replacing all suspension components to try to eliminate the shake and rattle of front suspension. All current components are worn and rusty. I’m sure it’s due to the moisture and salt used on the roads in the east. I figured if I’m gonna do it, I’ll go all out.

Yeah, I hear what you’re saying Andrew. Original Toyota parts would always be better. When I say all out, I mean replacing everything new within a budget.
Is Mevotech really that bad? I’ve read about the same number of good vs bad reviews. I’m not hard on truck.

Unfortunately like 99.9% of aftermarket suspension parts now it's cheap Chinese junk that will not last a fraction of the time OEM parts will.

Bushings are subpar. If the toyota got you this far, then imo, id use them to get me another 15 years
