x2 now that OBD Fusion shows up as a CarPlay app for headunit display

 

I wanted to be able to inspect the filter, this is in line before check valve right after the reservoir, on my tacoma the hose coming out of the tank is underneath and difficult to access. If I could it would be before the pump but last time I pulled the tank out, the pump is also the seal connected directly to the tank.l

 

Added the black Tacoma letters on my 2023 SR. Got them from eBay for $15. They’re a little more raised than the others I’ve seen which I actually like.

 

I picked up one of the wax canvas climbing bags at REI while on a trip up to Seattle recently. I saw this mod on here and its perfect! Cheap, and it fits my Yeti.

 

No pics but, OEM mudflaps let muddy water run down the back side of the flap, which then dries and doesn't rinse off easily. I removed the flaps and put a bead of automotive goop at the top of the flap where it mates with the wheel liner and reinstalled the mudflaps. I was at the point of chucking out the mudflaps as any driving on wet gravel left a dirty run down every mudflap. Works perfect, they stay cleaner. I had the goop in the tool box, but I bet any sealer would work just as well.

 

Instead of buying another spool of wire, I use my red sharpie to make red striped versions of wire.

 

I stopped into Northern Tool last week and found a 'bed matt' for 13 bucks.

Had to do a little bit of trimming, but there is plenty of material for the bed and the tailgate, probably even for a long bed. I used some carpet tape to hold it in place.

Same as mine (post #652 in May last year) except for the diamonds. My thought was that texture would dig into my knees (obviously no where near as bad as the original plastic cover!). But then --- having grip when wet --- would be a huge win.

i proly should leave this to MagicToolBox but i checked it out before posting the Amazon link.
it is 1/4" EVA foam. closed cell, waterproof. weighs 2.6 pounds so it is light.
i would use it under a tonneau cover etc.
he uses carpet tape to hold in place and i'd do the same. definitely necessary if used in open bed.

 

You hit the nail on the head. Carpet taped down, I have the factory tri-fold, and probably too much "just in case" gear in storage bins holding it down. Stuff does not slide around near as much now as well.

 

100% have done this! works pretty well!

 

The lack of floor tie down anchors in the front of the bed just inexcusable. I installed couple stainless ring anchors to keep one or two small coolers a full FirstAid kit and recovery kit in another, tied down in the front of bed floor, so I can still use the truck bed as truck bed.

 

Marked the ends of my fluid film hoses so I know when to stop spraying as I pull through the frame. I use paint markers but it only lasted one vehicle before wearing off. Trying to think of something more permanent.

Also I coved my windows and side mirrors with plastic wrap. I didn’t do it with our other vehicle and it save so much time not having to clean over spray from the glass.

 

Colored electrical tape, although the adhesive may dissolve with exposure to FF. If so try shrink fit tubing, it's available in different colors. I'm pretty sure Hazzard Fraught has a kit with short pieces of different sizes. Even if you need to buy a few feet - it's a good thing to have on hand

 

Cut up an old floor mat to keep the mud, grass, smutz, etc from going on the carpet (also reduces carpet wear) and used a felt pad to help find the garage door opener button on the mirror in the dark.
