    [2016 Tacoma SR 4WD 100k mi]

I noticed squeaking noises from engine, figured it was serpentine belt. Went to change oil and noticed power steering pump is covered in liquid/oil/PS fluid?

I believe the liquid is getting on my belt and making it squeak.

I’m new to all of this, oil changes are about as in depth as I have gone on vehicles. However, I’m willing to replace the pump since that seems to be the issue.

My question (since I see a few options on rockauto): what pump do you recommend I purchase and do I need to change out the reservoir along with the pump?

    I’m open to any suggestions!

    thank you

Assuming that is a PS leak and not a front cover leak (looks like a PS leak), I would go with a Toyota pump. Generally, they are very good. Degrease everything before you start. You want to keep any dirt or debris out of the lines and pump. Otherwise, you will be doing this again. Hydraulics are very sensitive to dirt. You will want to flush the system a couple of times as well with new oil. There is a chance that pump failed because the system is contaminated already. You dont need a new reservoir.
