Hello forum. Just finished up putting new suspension in my truck and tried to bleed brakes but can’t get any pressure into my pedal. Pumped for more than 15 minutes (way too long to be pumping for anything) and still nothing. New leafs so had to disconnect. No cracks or leaks in the line. Slightly sloped driveway, ass end sat down all night with a slow drip from the lines due to a bad plug job. Air in MS? Bench bleed?

Use a vacuum bleeder, you can buy a cheap one at Harbor Freight. Unless you were doing something extreme you could’ve left the brake lines connected by just disconnecting the mount point in the middle of the rear axle.

New leaf pack. USUALLY easier to disconnect and just bleed after but not this time lol.

For most of it. Part of it, the car was totally off.

No expert here, but I flushed my brake fluid just a few days ago. On my first attempt to bleed my brakes with the brakes pumped up and the pedal depressed, no fluid would come out of the bleeder screw. Only when I had the ignition on would fluid come out of the bleeder screw.

EDIT: you could clearly here the brake booster actively pumping while bleeding with the ignition on.

TRD OffRoad (not sure what year this started) has an electronic brake booster, so it would make sense for these to need the ignition on.

Others, probably same as an any vacuum boosted vehicle.

OP - what model is your 2010? Got a photo of your brake booster?

EDIT: it may be the 2012+ with ATRAC TRD OffRoad models that have the electronic brake booster only.

It’s a base model. No TRD off-road. I can get a photo tomorrow.

Did it run empty? It shouldnt be an issue.

A few things, the bleeders may be plugged, especially if its rusty.

The ABS module may have a huge amount of air in it.

What I do is remove the bleeder entirely and make sure flow is getting to them. If need be I drill out the ports and clean them.

Full stroke bleeds are an alternative to pump and bleed, so you build up pressure, let off the pedal, open the bleeder, then full stroke, close bleeder.

Hopefully it doesnt come down to an ABS bleed.

Ok gotcha. The pedal won’t build up pressure at all. Doesn’t matter how long I pump it. I’ll check the clog problems tomorrow.

Bled the master using a bleeder kit and brakes bled after just fine.
